Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — Vietnam Equity Holding (Stuttgart Stock Exchange: A0M12V) (‘VEH’ or the ‘Company’), a Cayman Islands registered open-ended fund that invests primarily in Vietnamese listed equities, today announced that the Company will issue revised financial statements for the year 2016. This decision was approved by the Company’s Board of Directors, upon the recommendation of the Company’s Audit Committee.
The decision to issue revised financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2016 is because the original financial statements included two typographical errors being in:
(i) the Statement of Changes in Equity on page 42 of the Financial Statements / Annual Report where the balance of Share Premium as at 31 December 2016 was stated as EUR (316,554) where this should be EUR – (nil); and
(ii) in the Statement of Financial Position on page 29 of the Financial Statements/ Annual Report where the balance of Other Reserve as at 31 December 2016 was stated at EUR 504,953 where this should be EUR 821,507.
The Company’s reported Total Equity was correctly stated as were all components which comprise its reported Assets, Liabilities and its Statement of Comprehensive Income.
Investors should no longer rely upon the Company’s previously released financial statements for the year 2016. Reissued financial statements for the year 2016 will be available shortly.
